Celebrating Vacation Bible Camp 2017

Vacation Bible Camp 2017 was a wonderful success! Throughout the week 35 children participated in activities that transported them back in time to learn about the Apostle Paul and the early Christian church.

Children heard passages from Paul’s letters to the Romans and learned about Paul’s arrest, the conversion of Roman soldiers and Paul’s mission to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Offering vacation bible camp is full community effort. Members of St. John’s offered financial support, donated t-shirts, built sets, set up crafts, prepared snacks, taught bible lessons, led outdoor games and worked as camp counselors.

The wonderful music Liza Calisesi-Maidens and Jacob Carroll provided throughout the week was the highlight of camp. We received many compliments from parents and one and all were touched by the faith, fellowship and fun that spread through camp.
