St. John’s offers two distinct services on Sunday mornings.
8:00am- Rite II Eucharist (1979 Prayer Book and 1982 Hymnal)
Whether you're an early riser, or looking for a quieter, faithful community, you’ll find space and place here at 8am each Sunday morning. We use the 1979 Book of Common Prayer along with just a few hymns to create a full but shorter Sunday service. Our intention is to keep the early service a bit shorter and also faithful to our long heritage and tradition embracing worship through the use of our 1979 Book of Common Prayer.
10:00am- Expansive Eucharistic liturgy and music using an all-inclusive bulletin
This service is designed to invite and engage both long-time members of the Episcopal Church as well as provide a comfortable introduction to our tradition and faith. We prepare an all-inclusive bulletin for ease of participation. Everyone begins worship together at 10:00 and early into the service the children are invited to go to Sunday School and then return halfway through the service to receive communion and stay with their families throughout the remainder of the service. Grace Choir sings every week supporting and leading the music we make together with both organ and piano. On a monthly basis, other St. John’s music groups join us to offer their gifts including: our Handbell Choir, SJP House Band, Youth Choir and our festival choir, Amazing Grace
Nursery Care: 7:45am -12:15pm
On Sundays, our professionally staffed nursery provides a safe, friendly environment for infants through 2-year-olds. The nursery will be open 15 minutes before the first service and will remain open for an hour after the second service allowing parents to choose if they would like time for coffee hour, meetings, small groups, church-wide presentations or simply adult conversation within our caring community.
